Reflective Practice Supervisor
One-to-one and group sessions offered across England and Wales.
Hi, I’m Rebecca
I'm a dedicated Social Worker and Reflective Practice Facilitator located in East Sussex.
My mission is to support professionals and promote best practice and resilience in working with people who face extra challenges in life, including school exclusion, involvement with the criminal justice system, or those who have experienced trauma, neglect, or abuse.
Services
Individual and group Reflective Practice
I specialise in enhancing work with children, young people and vulnerable adults through reflective practice. This is relevant for any professional working with service users who face additional challenges. Examples could include Youth Justice workers, Social Care professionals, key workers, volunteers and Designated Safeguarding Leads in education settings.
Group Reflective Practice encouragers practitioners to:
Reflect on experiences, feelings, thoughts, and actions
Deepen understanding of theories such as systemic theory and attachment theory
Address challenges in a supportive, confidential setting
Strengthen professional relationships and collaboration between services
Work with challenging behaviours linked to neglect, abuse, and trauma
Develop action plans to support young people professionally and compassionately
I also offer group reflective practice for multi-agency where there are conflicts and professional challenges.
With experience in Targeted Youth Support, statutory Child Protection, Youth Justice, and the third sector, I understand the pressures faced in each sector. I have unique insights and empathy and my aim is to help young people thrive, regardless of their circumstances.
By prioritising the hopes and wishes of service users, fostering shared understanding, and creatively collaborating with partner agencies, I aim to improve professional relationships and meet service users' needs effectively.
I also facilitate one-to-one Reflective Practice sessions.
This may be relevant for staff who have encountered extreme stress or challenges in their work which may be impacting on their personal wellbeing and ability to complete work to a high standard. Examples may be a death or severe injury of a service user, involvement in a Serious Case Review, threats to personal safety or a complex Court case.
Group and individual sessions sessions can be held online or face to face in a confidential setting, if within London and the South East.
